Tepoztlán is a magical town located approximately 1-2 hours south of Mexico City by car. The closest major airport is Mexico City International Airport (MEX), which offers direct flights from NYC, Miami, Houston, Los Angeles, and many more major airports. From the airport, guests can reach Tepoztlán by private car or arranged transportation. We are currently coordinating group transportation options and will share detailed information closer to the wedding date, including recommendations and schedules for travel to and from MEX. If you plan to arrive early or stay longer, Mexico City and the surrounding area offer plenty to explore, and we’d be happy to share suggestions. Tepoztlán is home to wonderful boutique hotels, and we’ve listed a few of our favorites below. Please note that hotels in Tepoztlán tend to book up quickly and there aren’t many rooms in the area, so we recommend booking early!

Hotel Boutique Casa Fernanda is set in Tepoztlan, in the Tepozteco National Park. It offers a spa and outdoor pool, as well as 24-hour reception, free Wi-Fi and free parking. A Continental Breakfast is included. All rooms come with flat-screen cable TV, a desk and a seating area. There is a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries. The hotel has an à la carte restaurant offering characteristic Baja California cuisine. There is a bar and you can request continental breakfast in your room. An airport shuttle service is available from the hotel tour desk for an extra charge. Mexico City is an hour’s drive away.

The terracotta-colored oasis, which houses thirteen rooms, is spread across four buildings that harmoniously integrate the hotel with the surrounding landscape. This landscape is further enhanced by railings and doors crafted from recycled construction wood, creating a visual rhythm that culminates in the terraces. Playful patterns of light and shadow are created by the columns and the wooden pergola that shelters the sunny blue sky of Tepoztlán. The restaurant is located on the ground floor. At the back of the property, the amenities building houses the hotel's kitchen and bar, massage rooms, and a temazcal (traditional sweat lodge). A wall of volcanic stone and reclaimed vegetation complements the lily pond and swimming pool. The location and architecture of Casa de Agua have created an atmosphere of tranquility and peace for those seeking a place of relaxation and rest. Our guests will enjoy the privacy, exclusivity, and serenity that the property offers.
